The combined solution based on open standards enables broadcasters to upgrade their quality of service for IPTV, OTT and premium pay TV services with MPEG-DASH, while securely delivering the content using Marlin DRM. MYTF1VOD, which offers the strongest VOD catalog for IPTV PCs and connected devices for the French market, is the first customer of this solution.

The solution integrates:
- Intertrust’s SyncTV™, cloud-based video distribution platform for broadcasting content for playback on popular Internet-connected TVs, smart phones and tablets
- Intertrust’s ExpressPlay™, a turnkey solution for downloadable applications supporting Marlin DRM
- httvStream, a powerful HbbTV-compliant play-out server.
“httv is deeply committed to the success of HbbTV and open standards,” said Regis Saint Girons, CEO of httv, president of the HD Forum, and co-marketing director of the HbbTV consortium. “We are very excited to participate in the launch of the first HbbTV 1.5 service with Intertrust and MYTTF1VOD as it represents an important first step towards more value added services on the market.”

“Our partnership with httv allowed us to offer a complete solution for the MYTF1VOD service”, said Gilles Boccon-Gibod, SVP Technology and chief architect. “We are very honored that the TNT 2.0 specification selected Marlin DRM as one of its two approved DRMs, and that MYTF1VOD chose to work with us on their first to market service, and we look forward to many more deployments of our HbbTV 1.5 with MPEG-DASH solution in Europe and worldwide.”

“We look forward to this partnership with httv and Intertrust which allows MYTF1VOD, major player in the video on demand solution in France to continue its policy of innovation by offering very soon to the French consumers, the first VOD service on HbbTV technologies” said Tristan Du Laz, MYTFIVOD’s director
