httvStream EIT
httvStream EIT is a datacasting solution dedicated to Event information for DVB Electronic Program Guides. It is the perfect solution for digital broadcast networks to offer enhanced EPG to their subscribers.
The solution is based on the httvStream real-time multiplexer, a robust data play-out solution deployed with many DTV operators.
It produces and broadcasts EIT Present/Following and Schedules from several input sources. It can be integrated into all kinds of head-end architectures.
httvStream EIT provides advanced automatic bandwidth management by reducing broadcast frequency for late scheduled events. The solution can be completed by a stagging platform offering various editing and management operations: previews, scheduling, browsing, filtering, etc.
Characteristics
Versatility
httvStream EIT can handle several Networks with up to 300 channels and 20 TS. It supports all types of characters sets and can handle several languages simultaneously.
It can be configured with different output types: ASI, IP/UDP multicast and multiple IP/UDP multicast streams (one per TS).
Multi-formats
httvStream EIT supports XML input files repository or FTP based. It can be interfaced with proprietary files formats or Database. It can easily be extended to support custom EIT descriptors.
Bandwidth Management
httvStream EIT provides manual settings bandwidth management rules to meet customerrequirements and constrains:
- Bitrates limitation per TS (for EIT Actual and Other),
- Broadcast frequency per EIT type (P/F, Schedule, Actual/Other) and per TS.
Real-time
With a real-time update editing for last minute changes, the events information is always up to date - an essential feature for accurate recording on PVR.
